The RC Coaxial Helicopter - here are some pictures of the models I have progressed through (or written off in uncontrolled maneuvers!).
Above: In front is my first try, a "toy" infra-red controlled heli with horizontal tail rotor. I had some fun until I crashed it - not for lack of patiently trying to learn to control it properly; it just isn't very controllable! On the other hand, it did deepen my resolve to understand and learn rc helicopter controls! Behind it is my next model, the Nine Eagles Swordfish - an excellent coaxial trainer, for both indoors and outside flying (when there's no wind!). It has great range both in terms of the battery and the transmitter, and it can disappear in the distance if you're not careful to bring it back! (see picture below)
Above: Nice hover posing for the camera!
Above: Checking out the mess on the ground that the kids left behind... definitely flying in ground effect!
Above: Greeting the kids up in the roof!
